Lathe Machine

A lathe is a machine that creates an object which has symmetry about an axis of rotation. It can be used to perform various operations such as cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling or deformation by rotating the work piece on its axis.

Head stock, bed, spindle, tailstock are its most essential components with which it performs various applications like metal working, metal shaping, wood working, metal spinning, drilling, boring etc. The spindle of the lathe machine is normally designed in such a way that it can be rotated to variable speeds and therefore can be employed for precision jobs with better control and ease.

Lathe Machine is developed in different styles and specifications to meet various requirements of different industries. Heavy duty lathe, extra heavy duty lathe, extra heavy duty roll turning lathe, light duty lathe, medium duty lathe, all-geared lathe are some of the most important types of lathe machines used for various industrial applications.
